The Perfect Line

All Things Motorcycle
All Things Motorcycle

Well it’s that time of year again. It’s time to overindulge in food and drink (and then some more drink) with friends and family. Here are some of my favorite motorcycle themed stocking suffers for $35 and under for your motorcycle obsessed spouse or to add to your own wish list:

Why We Ride

A celebration of the motorcycle community and cultures, Why We Ride is a great documentary that will share your passion for 2 wheels with the whole family. Get the DVD for $25.90.

Motorcycle Messengers (Book)

“Motorcycle Messengers is a collection of travel stories from some of the leading writers in the genre… plus a few people you’ve never heard of.” The book includes legends like Ted Simon, Lois Pryce, and Neil Peart and you will discover lots of new motorcycle writers and stories from the road that will ignite your passion for moto travel. Get the softcover for $20.00 or the Kindle for $7.67.

Go Cruise Throttle Lock

I have installed this on my last 3 bikes and can no longer ride on the highway without it. It’s not only super effective, it is so easy to install and remove you will wonder why you didn’t get one sooner. For metric riders the 7/8” size is standard and will fit most bikes that enter your stable, and as for the cruiser crowd, grab the 1”. Go Cruise can be had for under $20.

Grunge Brush

This appeared on my Cheap Motorcycle Tools that Actually Work post, and is one of my favorites. The Grunge Brush is one of the most well-known chain cleaning tools on the market. It has 2 brush heads made of strong bristles that clean grime, grease, and debris from your chain and sprockets. The 3 sided head effectively cleans the chain as you rotate the tire. Pair it with Motul Chain Cleaner and your chain will look like new. The Grunge Brush can be had for $10.95.

Hearos Earplugs

Drown out engine and wind noise during your ride with the best disposable ear plugs on the market. Get a 14 pack for $6.49.

ROK Straps

After a trip to the Arctic Circle in 2013, during which time my gear seemed to hate staying on my bike, I picked up a pack of ROK Straps. Since that time I have heavily relied on them to hold down my beer food cooler, sleeping bag, and my jacket when the weather gets too hot. I have found that they are the best way to hold down gear on a bike. Get 12”-42” Adjustable ROK Straps for $13.50.

Icon 29ers

The little MX inspired street gloves are affordable, durable and comfortable. I have been wearing mine for summer riding for 4 years and they have held up great. They have a goatskin palm for abrasion resistance and a hi-flow mesh back to keep cool. Icon 29ers can be had in Black, Blue, Red or Yellow for $35.

Wash Plug

Love the mud? Keep water out of your exhaust while pressure-washing with an exhaust plug. It also keeps rodents out during storage, just remember to remove before you go braapp. Get a Wash Plug for $6.51.

Cleaning Kit

The Meguiar’s Motorcycle Cleaning Kit has everything you need to shine up your ride before you winterize (how to guide here). Complete with Clean Spray & Rinse, Detailer Mist and Wipe, Liquid Wax, Leather Cleaner, Metal Polish, Plastic Polish, and a Microfiber Towel all for just $33.54. This one is for the spoiled rider, whose stocking always overflows with oversized gifts.
